Developing the Intuition

These Intuitive development classes are introductory and foundational to self awareness, self care, and embodiment. One on one mentorship is a recommended companion to support you on your unique journey, address your questions, and catch your blindspots.

  • Keep a journal or log. Not everything makes sense in the moment, and sometimes a greater tapestry of a messages unfolds over time.

  • You are as good as your practice. Intuition is something we all have, but like anything else, some have an easier time with it than others. It’s important not to force it, and the best, most natural way to develop confidence, accuracy, and discernment is through practice.

  • Know thyself. You understand your gifts, your vulnerabilities, blind spots, senses and signals more than anyone else, Regular practice hones your self-awareness, so that shifts both large and small do not go unnoticed.

Psychological & Trauma Awareness

There is a regular and present negotiation between energetic and physiological brain imbalances. It’s a common mistake to validate one over the other, there is typically a relationship between the two. That is deeply personal and requires personal attention and reflection, and getting outside perspective when you need it (psychologist or medical intuitive).

Intro to Intuitive Development:

  • Grounding is fundamental. It is embodiment, lower chakra balance, Earth connection, electromagnetic balance.

    Symptoms of being ungrounded:

Unawareness of feet or direction, traveling on autopilot, tripping, clumsiness.

    Forgetful or obsessive thinking

    Sugar cravings

Suicidal thoughts or “I don’t belong here”

Spacey, trouble focusing, hyper or hysterical

    Unconscious behaviors with physical manifestations

Knowing your tendencies will clue you in to when you start to go out of your body/dissociate. Being ungrounded leaves you vulnerable to external energies and can affect the quality and volume of the intuition.

    Ways to Ground:

    Feet on the earth

Movement- hip & leg stretches, jumping, listen to your body.

    Mental awareness of feet

Grounding foods (roots, high protein foods)

    Meditation

    Stones

    Herbs

    Shower, baths, natural water sources

  • The health of the pancreas and your blood sugar are related to your ability to ground and frequency of which it’s needed. Sugar offers a false sense of expansion and crashes can result in ungrounding, among other things. Choose balanced whole foods and eat regularly.

    Dandelion root

    Burdock root

    Root vegetable (think growing down)

Orange foods (high in Vitamin A and support the pancreas)

    Almonds, walnuts

    Sunflower and pumpkin seeds

    Grass fed red meat

Coffee, tea, cacao for extreme psychic work

  • Copper (includes old copper pennies) best for psychic work

    Black tourmaline (electromagnetic grounding)

    Rocks found locally (land connection)

    Smokey quartz (absorbs emotional energies)

    Obsidian (silences the mind)

Amber, Jet, Tiger’s Eye, Onyx, Carnelian, Garnet

  • I suggest doing some movement or somatic release before meditation

Any form of meditation that works for you is great. The simplest thing you can do is to sit and use your breath to gently release and clear the body.

    Body scan:

The body scan is an intuited process of noticing. Use your inner eye to witness yourself, and all of the body’s systems. Take this opportunity to let your body talk to you about how the energy is wanting to move, and what information is there for you to know. You may have memories release or practical guidance come forward. You can incorporate Reiki or touch with this simple self awareness practice.

  • Boundaries & Protection

When you do psychic work, your energy becomes naturally expanded and permeable, so you want to create a safe space to work.

Consolidate your energy by drawing in the aura close to the body for protection.

Verbal boundaries are a powerful act in bring the boundary into realization. Your boundaries will be unique to you and your awareness of your own energy system.

Visual Boundaries involve conjuring a protective image and imagining yourself within it. This can be a pentagram, Reiki symbol, or something more individual

  • Most people find it harder to read themselves than other people. It’s important to have regular practice in reading yourself so you can best discern your energy from someone else’s.

Sometimes it makes sense to go in and just see what comes up, but generally speaking a reading with intention will give clearer information

Acknowledge how information comes- do you feel, see, hear, know? Some combination?

The interpretations have a greater likelihood for being “inaccurate” than the message itself, so be literal in your interpretation at first before discerning the nuance. You can also consider automatic writing/drawing as part of your process, or you can simply log info at the end.

    Setting up a reading

State within yourself that you are ready to read. Connect with your intention. I like to imagaine a lotus at the heart space opening upward to receive information. If you are reading for someone else, ask for their questions, full name and birthday.

    Set parameters:

I’m ready to receive messages at this time

I wish to speak to my higher self only (can use a specific guide or primary guide)

I ask for all appropriate boundaries and protection

One message at a time, please

    Am I ready?

If yes, you may hear “yes” or feel an opening or affirmation, or things may start already coming in.

Take everything that happens after the parameters as a message. Don’t overthink it and allow your natural curiosity to guide the reading. “Why do I keep seeing water?” “What does this red color represent” “Is what I’m seeing literal or symbolic?”

At first, stay open for no more than 10 minutes. When you are finished:

I am done receiving messages at this time

Thank you to all who have assisted

    I cut all etheric cords

Afterwards you may need to stand up to feel your feet, slap your legs to stimulate them, and us your grounding tools.

Working with Guides:

  • Guidance can come from many directions. Mediumship is the practice of acting as a mediator between the worlds. Often this relates to loved ones on the other side, and other forms of consciousness that are not embodied. Stay grounded and remain discerning when holding counsel with external consciousness.

    Setting up a Reading

Ground, center. Decide what your intention is, write it down in your journal.

Decide who you would like to talk to. It could be your primary guide, a loved one, or a mass consciousness (i.e. and Angel or Deity), or the consciousness connected to an item (a stone, a piece of jewelry)

State within yourself you are ready to receive messages at this time.

    Invite in your higher self

Ask for all appropriate boundaries and protection

Invite the consciousness you would like to consult

    Note any energy change.

Ask for one message at a time

    Ask if you are ready

Ask your questions, or open to receive guidance.

    Notice energy fluctuations.

  • There are several reasons to connect with past life. It may be out of curiosity, to understand your connection to a place, a person, group of people, or archetypes. Often times, the purpose of looking will lead to something painful or traumatic. It can be emotional, but if you are able to witness it, it is ripe for healing, and often opens the gateway to a cleaner energetic system. The purpose to look into the past is to clear the way for the future.

    Karmic Hooks

A Karmic hook represents an old familiar but attractive pattern. An event from the past will have its consequences ripple outward throughout time and space. It is the natural pattern of things to grow. If anything is meant to be woven into the collective or your own life, it will sustain through co-creative effort, supported. All things that grow also reach a destruction cycle, and these are patterns that need to be released.

    Healing Themes

Common themes around healing include power dynamics, scarcity, co-dependency, persecution, betrayal, to name a few. Look at patterns and relationship in your own life that seem unreasonably difficult and confusing and you will likely find a karmic hook or contract. Ask for guidance on how this shows up in mundane life and where to take things.

  • Use the body as a map. It holds all of this information somewhere, you just have to find it.

    Setting up a Reading

Ground, center. Decide what your intention is, write it down in your journal.

State within yourself you are ready to receive messages at this time.

    Invite in your higher self

Ask for all appropriate boundaries and protection

Ask for one message at a time

    Ask if you are ready

Ask your question or ask to go to a place in your body that holds the information you need. You can use the visual of a DNA strand or centering your consciousness at the heart and allowing it to travel to where it needs to go.

    Notice energy fluctuations.

Visual readings may have a story-like progression.

Stay Discerning. Noticing energy fluctuations will be helpful.. Take notes. Don’t attach to what you find… the past is useful in the clues it holds, but does not define who you are today.
